Hayley Wickenheiser and Chantal Petitclerc for the opening keynote

Hayley Wickenheiser, one of the best female hockey players ever, will facilitate the concluding conference during which we will report on the exchanges held during our 2015 Conversation.

Five-time Olympic medalist, Hayley Wickenheiser is regarded as one of the best female hockey players in the world with an uncompromised determination and dedication to her sport. However, it’s not just her lethal slapshot that is respected by her teammates, fans and peers; Hayley is also an award winner, community leader, mentor, history-maker and an accomplished businesswoman. She will close the 2015 Conversation.

Born in Sainte-Foy (Québec), Sylvie Bernier won the first Canadian gold medal in 3m diving at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, and is to this day the only Canadian gold medalist in this event. She was also the first Canadian woman to be elected the International Swimming Hall of Fame.

Chantal Petitclerc is the only Canadian athlete to win Olympic, Paralympic and Commonwealth Games gold medals.

Throughout her illustrious career she broke 22 World records (three of which still stand today), still holds four Paralympic Games records and won 21 Paralympic Games medals. Her Paralympic Games career stretched 1992-2008 capturing 10 gold medals between 2004 and 2008 alone.  Her final Paralympic Games tally stands at 14 gold, 5 silver and 2 bronze.
